Funding Criteria
(Domestic)
Eligible:
• Organization must be a tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code
• Qualified tribal and governmental agencies
• Public school systems
Not Eligible:
• Organizations that are not designed 501(c)(3) by the IRS
• For-profit entities
• Political action committees, candidates and lobbying
• Labor, religious, fraternal, active military, and professional association activities
• Individuals
• General sports and athletic groups and activities
• Endowment campaigns
• Strategic or business plans
• Endowments or reserve funds
• Debt retirement or operating deficits
• Indirect expenses unrelated to the project to program being funded
Funding Criteria
(International)
Eligible:
• Public charitable institutions that support social causes recognized by the country, government, and geographic region
• Social Activity/ Civil Service organizations supporting social causes
• Private Assistance Institutions supporting social causes
• Public school systems
• Public Hospitals/ Clinics or other Health assistance programs
Not Eligible:
• For-profit entities
• Political action committees, candidates and lobbying
• Labor, religious, fraternal, active military, and professional association activities
• Individuals
• General sports and athletic groups and activities
• Endowment campaigns
• Strategic or business Plans
• Endowments or reserve funds
• Debt retirement or operating deficits
• Indirect expenses unrelated to the project or program being funded

Requirements
Application to include:
• Cover Letter with Executive Summary
Completed SCF Application that includes:
• Description of Organization to include mission and Vision statement
• Organization contact information
• Project Director and contact Information
• Demographics of Population served
• Project Timeline
• Operating Budget and Project budget including other confirmed or potential funding sources * No more than 10% can be allocated to G&A; Program Staff will be considered at 100%
• Description of Project including key personnel
• Description of Goals, Objectives and Evaluation (How will it be measured)
• Impact Description of any potential obstacles
